Managing licence keys

A valid licence key is required to pull Synapse images and Helm charts from the Cerbos distribution repository. Licence keys are not specific to Synapse — they grant access to commercial Cerbos components generally, and each organization manages its key from the Distribution licence section of its organization settings in Cerbos Hub.

Whenever you see the following placeholders in the documentation, replace them with actual values from the licence settings screen.

  • CERBOS_DISTRIBUTION_REPO: registry endpoint displayed on the screen

  • YOUR_LICENCE_USER: Cerbos Hub organization ID

  • YOUR_LICENCE_KEY: Licence key displayed on the screen

Treat the licence key like a secret and store it securely. Do not share it with anyone outside your organization.
